Floods in Pakistan: TSF on site to support emergency efforts

 

September 1st, 2010 - TSF has been In country since August 9th to support affected populations and the whole humanitarian community. Humanitarian calling operations started on Friday August 20th in the ex-North West Frontier Province.

 

Kyrgyzstan: TSF support in Osh, at the heart of the conflict

June 8th, 2010 - During more than 6 weeks, TSF provided ICT support to relief or rescue workers and conducted humanitarian calling operations for the affected populations.

 

10,500 families (more than 60,000 people) could reach their relatives thanks to TSF services.

 

 

Hurricane Ida: TSF's support to United Nations agencies

 

November 24th, 2009 - TSF emergency telecoms teams, deployed from the regional base in Managua, supported the United Nations agencies and humanitarian organizations in Salvador and Nicaragua.

 

TSF sets up a SMS system against dengue fever in Managua

June 9h, 2010- Since the beginning of October, Nicaragua is facing a huge rise of dengue cases. Due to this worrying situation, TSF implemented a mobile health program, strenghtening the SILAIS' (crisis unit of the Health Ministry of Nicaragua) ICT and mobile communications capacities.

Earthquakes in Indonesia: TSF's support to relief workers

October 27th, 2009 - Reacting to the two earthquakes that hit Indonesia on September 30th and October 1st, TSF deployed a crew of specialists in emergency telecommunications to Padang. During 1 month, they provided vital ICT support to the entire humanitarian community.

 

 

Typhoons in the Philippines: TSF's support to aid efforts

October 27th, 2009 - On September 28th, TSF deployed to the Philippines responding to the two devastating typhoons, Ketsana and Parma,  which have affected more than 8.4 million people. The TSF teams supported the humanitarian community and the populations affected.

 

Pakistan: TSF supported the displaced populations

August 13th, 2009 - At the heart of the conflict between, government troops and the Taliban insurgents, TSF offered more than 3,200 calls to the displaced populations in Nowshera, Swabi and Mardan districts.
