Sept. 8th, 2009 - A TSF team was present in Burkina Faso for the setting up of a development project, 60km from Ouagadougou, when heavy floods affected the country on September 1st. Last toll states 7 deaths and 150 000 displaced. TSF therefore conducted an assessment with the local relief organizations.

In collaboration with the United Nations coordinator in Ouagadougou, no major telecom issues were identified. Nevertheless, TSF stands to deploy in the area if necessary, or to Niger which was affected by the same floods.
