TSF trains World Vision to deploy emergency ICTs

 

IMGP6767webSeptember 1st, 2011- From 29th to 30th March 2011 in Managua (Nicaragua), TSF trained 14 of the international NGO World Vision, in the use of emergency telecoms. Indeed, it was World Vision who requested TSF to carry out a simulation exercise, so that they could benefit from TSF’s extensive field experience.


 

TSF extends its commitment to the Swiss Cooperation


SNV36332 PhotoRedukto128April 27th, 2012- In August 2011, TSF led a workshop on the emergency telecommunications in Cuzco (Peru), with 23 special agents of the GIAR (Rapid Intervention and Support Group) and various Swiss embassy officials in Latin America. This weed in Ciudad Antigua (Guatemala), TSF has extended its commitment to the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development in Latin America, by conducting a second regional workshop for the benefit of 31 COSUDE's emergency responders. Representatives of organisations active in Central and Latin America attended the 3-day training.


   

From Managua to Bangkok, ICT Relief Training

 

de managua a bangkokFebruary 9th, 2011 - From 7th to 11th February 2011, the representatives of 22 emergency response organisations of Central and South Asia attended a one-week TSF training course in telecommunications and information technologies financed by the European Commission (ECHO).

This rural region situated in the northwest of the country, far from the other main cities, is characterized by its poorly developed rural areas.
