Télécoms Sans Frontières has been awarded the 2018 prize for Best Quality of Life Improvement at the Pacific Telecommunications Council's Innovation Awards in Hawaii.

In January 2018, Télécoms Sans Frontières was awarded the prize for Best Quality of Life Improvement at the Pacific Telecommunications Council's Innovation Awards 2018 in Hawaii.

This award recognises the entity that has successfully launched a telecommunications product or network-centric ICT application that has had the most outstanding impact on improving the quality of life for people in the Pacific Rim and beyond.

TSF has a regional office in Bangkok that covers the Asia/Pacific zone. We have responded to all major disasters in the APAC region since our foundation some 20 years ago in countries such as the Solomon Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Timor. Beyond bringing telecoms aid to both affected populations and the humanitarian community, we have also worked on reinforcing the preparedness capacities of government relief agencies and regional mechanisms.

This award is the latest in TSF's trophy cupboard, joining amongst others the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award, the Exceptional Humanitarian Action Award from The Satellite Industry Association and the Space Achievement Award from the National Space Symposium.
